WOODZ
A legendary dancefloor in a mysterious forest

The dancefloor is built on a timber, multi-level frame: tree houses, decks, stairs and bridges threaded between the trunks. The living forest was not cleared: the posts were set in the gaps between the trees, the decks bend around roots, and the whole site can be crossed from above without stepping down to the ground. The tree houses were built with the utmost respect for nature and with ecological solutions: a rare, tree-friendly technique lets the trees keep growing together with the houses they carry.
The second material is branches, gathered right here in the forest. Some of the main structures and sets were built from them: an arch that seems frozen in the mist, handrails, fences and a remarkable tunnel at the entrance, which works as a portal into a mysterious forest world.
The third material is black wood. It was charred to the colour of coal, so by day the structure almost merges with the forest. In the evening it is lit from within: the forest stops being merely a backdrop and seems to find itself inside the set.
Since 2025 a bar with a tall thatched roof has stood next to the stage, the roof built to a technique of our own and a very complex one. It completes the image of a forest fairy tale, and its monumentality astonishes everyone who has seen it in person.
